BRAAP BABES RECAP OF THE 2018 / 19 WINTER SEASON

BRAAP BABES RECAP OF THE 2018 / 19 WINTER SEASON

Wow! What a season it has been!

Our last social event was hosted at Powder Mountain Snowmobile Club - located at the Brandywine Bowl, April 7th. We had a BBQ 4 Snowarama selling burgers and drinks for $5, a silent auction with amazing products donated by some rad sponsors and Ski Doo's 2020 Freeride and Expert snowmobile demos hosted by No Limits Motorsports. We calculated about 80 participants which is unreal and was not expected (we ran out of burgers!). To say the least, it was a very successful day and THANK YOU to all who came out to celebrate our last day of the season. We raised $800 for Snowarama - a fundraiser for Easter Seals, children with disabilities and that brings us a total of $1390 for the entire 2018 / 2019 season.

Braap Babes has been a big passion project of mine and I couldn't of done it with out all the support out there. I learned over the season that women who snowmobile needed a day for themselves, to meet other women, to explore different areas, to learn about different products and sled set up and to braap! Its been a huge honour to meet all the women with in the sea to sky, and prepare these social rides and events.

I would like to thank the following for a successful season:

Braap Babe leaders - Samantha Watts, Irina Nenilina, Hayley Auld & Jessy Poirier - Thank you so much for your guidance, helping women get over their fears, helping with the unstucks and spreading the good vibes. These social rides could not have gone with out you.

Snowarama - Nadia Cote and Ryan Thorley, who helped with Snowarama and getting all the donations, sponsors for the season and helping with organizing the off mountain sled set up and product knowledge night, Thank you!

Braap Babes - To all the women who came out to our off and on mountain events / social rides, it truly was an honour to meet all of you. By showing up, expressing the interest, and braaping around has been a year of success and I want to Thank all of you for a great season!

Snowmobile Clubs - Black Tusk Snowmobile Club, Pemberton Snowmobile Club and Powder Mountain Snowmobile Club. Thank you for allowing us to host our social rides at your mountains and supporting our Snowarama fundraiser events. Giving women the opportunity to explore different terrain has been eye opening, encouraging and motivating and we want to thank you for that opportunity.

Sponsors - We have a huge list to go through but this is very important to us. Raising funds for Snowarama wouldn't of been possible with out our sponsors who donated prizes for the events. Thank you!

Munster Finger Throttles, Cheetah Factory Racing, FXR racing, Pit Viper, Northern Lights Optic, Happy Monday Inc. She Shreds Mountain Adventures, CKX Gear, Spy Optic, Backcountry Brewing, La Nina Sled Camp, Porcupine Acupuncture, Sky High Lifestyles & BC Snowmobile Federation

My husband, Kenny Edwards who supported the project from day one. Without your encouragement and dedication, the project wouldn't be here today.

And last but not least, No Limits Motorsports who has been the back bone of the project, Thank you!

Some of us are packing it in for the season, but if you are not done with the snow, have fun, stay safe and tag us on social media @braapbabeswithnolimits.

We will start to slow down on social media but will try to post once in a while. We do have some hats arriving at the end of April that will be available online for May ( just in time for spring/ summer). We will send out a newsletter when they arrive at the shop.

Keep an eye out for any other give-a-ways / contest that we will be doing during the off season and when fall approaches, we will be sending out another newsletter about upcoming events (we have some in the works for 2019 /2020 season already)

Thank you so much for all the good vibes, and making Braap Babes a dream come true. You guys rock.

Until next time, stay safe, have fun and Braap!
